Oldsmobile dealer RG Cranney praised his four day prize trip to Boca Raton Florida despite rain. He ranked among the top 400 dealers in the national Back to Boca contest for 400 winners out of over 5000 staff. The trip ran July to September with golf baseball fishing and other activities at the Palm Beach area resort.

School building to be sold in Eastside district
The Franklin teachers residence will be sold after the school board recommended disposal. Appraised at 2500 dollars, the four bedroom building includes two bathrooms, a garage and garden. An election on January 9 at Franklin gym and Jefferson school will determine authorization to sell, open 9 am to 7 pm.

Boy Dies After Sled Car Crash in Oxford
Donald C Kendall 10, son of Karl C Kendall and Annabelle Fisher Kendall of Oxford, died Sunday from injuries after his sled collided with an automobile driven by 73 year old Orson Kofoed of Clifton. Brent Kendall 7 escaped injury when his sled hit a bare spot of snow and the car struck it. Donald was a fifth grade student at Daytona School. Funeral services set for 1 p.m. today at the Oxford ward chapel. He was born July 2 1945 in Preston and survived by parents and siblings Dolores Perkins Ogden Brendan Diane and others.

Poultry Producers Offered 5 Percent Interest Certificates
Melvin Westerberg manager of the Franklin County Poultry Association an affiliate of the Utah Poultry Association issued notices to producers. Certificates of 5 percent interest are available at the plant office on South State street in Preston. The board directed payment of 5 percent interest on all certificates of interest standing in members’ names on Jan 1 1955. The notice aims to brighten and cheer during the holiday season.

Babson Forecast to Be Published by The Citizen
The Preston Citizen will publish Babson's Business and Financial Forecast for 1956 on December 29. Babson's past forecasts show an average accuracy around 84 percent over 17 years, with yearly results from 1939 to 1955 ranging from 78 to 95 percent. Dunn Is Honored by Lions Club for 20 Years
Rulon Dunn former mayor of Preston and owner of KPST radio station received a Lions Club pin for 20 years of perfect attendance. Dunn joined the Lions in Twin Falls in 1936 transferred to Preston in 1938 and never missed a meeting. Others in line for the 20 year pin include Russell Crockett formerly of Preston now in Salt Lake City.

Prize Duroc Boar Sold to USAC for College Herd
The Department of Animal Husbandry at USAC purchased 20 Duroc boars from W. R. and Stanley Fisher of Oxford for the college herd. Among them Model King is highlighted as a 900 pound two and a half year old boar and a first prize winner at the 1955 Eastern Idaho State Fair and the Utah State Fair.
