Area Welding Course To Begin Wednesday
The adult farmer welding class starts next Wednesday December 19 at 8 pm in Preston High School Vocational Agriculture shop. It runs about three weeks with 30 hours of instruction meeting three nights weekly. Beginners and advanced welders will learn latest rods and their uses in farm repair. cost is $15. Beets and plant moves outlined for sugar operation
A detailed plan describes relocating the sugar plant pier to Dayton with a 20 000 ton beet piling ground, installing a new piler at Clifton, tearing down the Clifton beet dump, and storing beets at Bancroft while continuing to receive beets by rail at Anderson, Arimo, and Grace. West side beets must be received at their stations. 1963 may be last year of unrestricted plantings as new factories arise in several states.
