Courthouse authorities scheduled lie detector tests for most staff within a week to ten days regarding the disappearance of 5344 in cash from the clerk’s office last week. Sheriff La Ray Talbot noted the money, all in currentcy but not coins or checks, vanished while the treasurer Mrs Pete Waste was briefly away. Tests would not be compulsory for all staff, but those cleared would have names published. Tests may be conducted in Preston or Boise with potential costs if equipment is moved.
