Robbery north of Franklin nets $224 in cash
Mrs Florence Albiston reports an armed holdup about one mile north of Franklin on Monday night. Two men forced her from her car at gunpoint, took a bank bag containing receipts from Albiston Radio, and fled north. She sought help from nearby residents as sheriff’s deputies issued alerts to surrounding areas.

Services Today for Former Preston Resident Killed
Funeral services are held today in Ogden for Lester Morgan former Preston attorney killed Sunday at an intersection in Open when struck by a passing motorist. Morgan 55 recently lived in Layton and burial is in Brigham City Cemetery. He was born December 3 1890 in Brigham City and practiced law in Preston for 15 years. He served in World War I, was a former American Legion commander, and a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are his widow, four children, and several siblings.
