Soldier Lieutenant Henderson to be buried at Swan Lake
Graveside services for 2nd Lt. Eugene Henderson will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Swan Lake cemetery. Henderson, son of Myrl and Marie Henderson, was killed on Iwo Jima while serving in the Marine Corps. He will be brought from Webb mortuary in Preston, with military honors by the American Legion.

Snowbound roads strand Weston students and bus riders
State and county crews worked around the clock to clear Franklin county and Preston area roads as winds and heavy snow blocked U S 91 and other routes. Twenty two Weston children spent the night with neighbors after buses got stuck. buses remained stranded or towed to safety.
