Idaho 4 H State Winners Honored in 1950 National Programs
Four Idaho 4 H club members earned state honors in national safety, tractor maintenance, frozen foods and poultry awards. John J Huber Jr of Cataldo won Farm and Home Safety champion and a trip to the 4 H Club Congress, after detailing farm hazards and safety improvements. John Newbrough of Werle dell led in tractor maintenance, with county and district honors for his work on a family tractor and demonstrations. Laura Jorgensen of Burley top honors in Frozen Foods for expanding the family freezer with diverse foods and serving as club secretary and reporter. Carlene Falkenbure of Caldwell, 15, advanced poultry work, raising 250 birds since age nine and earning a trip to the 1960 4 H Club Congress. she also serves as junior leader and musician.
