Franklin County Fair Opens With Thirteen Exhibitions
The Franklin County Fair launches this week with 4-H clothing nutrition and electrification exhibits in the courthouse basement at 4 p m Thursday. Judging begins Friday at 10 a m across dairy cattle beef cattle swine sheep and horses with parades and horse pulling slated for the fairgrounds and streets. A new home canning exhibit will be shown at the Utah Power Light building alongside flower shows needlework and other exhibits at the Opera House and fairgrounds.

Evans has run the Goodyear Shoe store for 12 years and will close the shop on South State temporarily until a successor is found. The reason given is health and warmer dry climate expected to suit him. Mrs Evans long served as cashier at the J C Penney store.
