Former Preston Girl Injured In Bear Lake Accident
Melanie Rigby, 14, daughter of Mr and Mrs Melvin Rigby now of Kaysville Utah but former Preston residents, remained serious in Logan hospital after a Bear Lake boating accident Saturday. Witnesses said she was on an inner tube beside a friend when a coming boat pulled a water skier. She dived to escape but hit the boat and was sucked into the motor. She was initially treated at Montpelier hospital before transfer to Logan. She is the granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Mallowe Funk.

Ralph L. Jensen 23 of Logan died Friday when his 1969 truck left Highway 91 near the Utah Idaho border, skidded into a barrow pit and rolled over.
