Blaine Olsen of Ban ada will be the lone local player in Idaho Coaches association all star game in Boise. The 18 year old center for Preston Indian is among 25 western players chosen by coaches to face the eastern squad in the first such Idaho event. Olsen has practiced with the eastern squad for over a week and traveled to Boise with coach Bob Bunker attending the coaches meeting and game planning.

Two Boys Survive Accidents At Oxford
Oxford this week reports two accidents. Morris Helmandollar fainted after inhaling fumes from a large gasoline tank at the Karl Kendall ranch and was revived after an hour. Robert Anderson was bitten badly by two dogs during a dog fight and required ten stitches on his face.

First White Girl Born in Preston Dies at 72
Mrs Christina Jensen Shaffer aged 72 died Monday morning after a long life in Preston. She was born August 25 1874 to David and Julia Jensen and married George Shaffer May 27 1897 in the Logan temple. The first white girl born in Preston she served as a black teacher in Relief Society. Surviving are her husband seven children and 29 grandchildren. Funeral today at 2 p.m. in the First Ward chapel with Bishop Lyman Purser presiding. Burial in Preston cemetery.

Canning Center Processes Large Volume of Produce
The Franklin County Canning Center has processed about 7 500 cans of fruits and vegetables over the past month. Supervisor Lincoln Orme notes Riverdale apricots are in season and corn is coming on, with beans beets carrots apples pork and beans and meats canned.
