Beutler Wounded in Korea on Peace Day Front Line
Pfc Laura K Beutler son of Mr and Mrs Walter Beutler sent word July 28 he was wounded July 26 the day peace was signed. He received a flesh wound to the head from a 61 millimeter shell while serving in Korea with the third division after training at Fort Ord and sailing from San Francisco aboard the USS Collins. He reported spending two days in a base hospital and being one of five wounded in the impact.
