University of Idaho Extension hosts an agricultural range bull selection and management school on Thursday April 10 at 12 30 p m. at Jack Gibbs farm south of Grace on Highway 34. Lectures cover foot trimming safety breeding soundness inspection ultrasonic rib eye measurement and yield grading with experts including Dr Stan Hall Dr Richard Hall Dr Leon Orme and Ed Duren.

Cars Roll Into Ditch After Tire Blowout Near Preston
Two crashes reported near Preston and Dayton cause $1000 and $300 in damages. Ray Lindsay of Idaho Falls cited for failing to report an accident after his tire blew out and caused a rollover two miles south of Preston. Rodney Choules of Clifton fell asleep and drove into a canal three miles north of the old Dayton depot at 2 a.m.

Franklin County dairy farming leads with the highest gross income in the area and supports more than 459 farm families. County Agent Daniel Roberts notes an average herd of 20 milking cows with replacements. annual production around 270,000 pounds per day statewide and 96,550,000 pounds yearly. The 1968 milk price averaged 4.37 dollars per cwt FOB, giving a rough county total income near 4.4 million dollars from dairy products.
