CIA LSD spray tests in 1959 scandal flash years
Senate subcommittee heard former CIA staffers recount a 1959 San Francisco bid to lure people to a party to disperse LSD in the air as part of MK Ultra. The plan failed due to weather and equipment issues in Mill Valley safe houses. Rhodes said he tried LSD eight to ten times and briefly attended a Daughters of Bilitis meeting while testing behavior prediction methods. Goldman said he built the aerosol device and testing mechanisms for the LSD spray project.
