Fraternity Cannon Explosion Kills Student in Rolla

A 21 year old Randall Crystall of Florissant died on arrival at St. John’s Mercy Hospital after a cannon used by a University of Missouri Rolla fraternity exploded during a pledging ceremony for the Daughters of Lee. At least six others were injured and treated at local hospitals. Police said the 3½ foot homemade cannon misfired then exploded as about 50 people gathered.

Tijuana mayor warns city street lights may end amid unpaid bill

TMUANA Mexico AP Mayor Fernando Marquez Arce says lights in City Hall were turned off over an unpaid $900 owed to the federal power agency. Douglas buys land beside Yuma airport
