Long Beach Hebrew Academy opens Founders Day honoring Dr Moskowitz
The Long Beach Hebrew Academy Lubavitch begins fall semester with 120 students in pre school and five elementary grades. Founders Day honors Dr Irving Moskowitz and Cherna Moskowitz whose family funded new 881 Atlantic Ave facilities featuring a synagogue and modern classrooms. The program combines Torah true Judaic studies with secular education and reports state licensed secular teachers. The academy also offers after school classes, a summer camp, and adult programs led by Rabbi Lagel and Rabbi Ephraim Piekarski.
