Wilma Hastings to Talk at NLB Women's Club
Wilma Hastings president of the newly organized Women’s Auxiliary to Long Beach Chamber of Commerce will speak at the opening meeting of the North Long Beach Women’s Club Wednesday. Charter members will be honored at Houghton Park Club House after a noon luncheon. Hastings topic is Does Your Mirror Reflect the True You. Reservations handled by H D Edwards and Edward Ditto. Charter attendees include Lee Carter E C Hawley Carl Hesford Stanley Houghton Sidney O’Neill and Grover Seguine Sr. Luncheon guests include Councilman Virgil Spongbets Dr Frank Harnett Rev Richard Irving Mrs Thaysen Schwaibe and Mrs Clifford Robinett. Also to be honored are members who voted in the first California.

Helen Marie Strimple and Reuben William Dennis Jr. wed in Lakewood Community Methodist Church with a full ceremony. The bride, daughter of Lakewood residents, is a former student at Lakewood High and Chapman College and chaired sorority activities. Dennis, an Navy electronics engineer, will transfer to Florida for schooling, and the couple will live in Jacksonville after the move.
