Witness Marianne Beaman testified in the Scott murder trial that L Ewing Scott proposed to her before and after his wife disappeared. She described two proposals in 1956 and 1957, visits to a San Diego club, Las Vegas introductions as Mrs Scott, and gifts from Scott including jewelry and a coat.
