Walter H. Redman aged 76 a former secretary of the Borden Company in New York filed a Highlands County Circuit Court petition to adopt his ex wife Virginia M. Rebman 44. They were married in Palm Beach in 1947 and moved to Sebring in 1949. Rebman had filed for divorce on grounds of mental cruelty which was granted October 21, 1949. The petition says they seek mutual reliance and to have a parent child relationship due to their ten years together and shared business interests. A ruling date was not given.
