Saved by air pocket girl tells horrors of burial in sand
Westminster, Har ity Kaiser Foundation Hospital. Lee Ann Bauer, seven, recounted how sand collapsed in a sewer excavation four blocks from her home while playing with six other children. Rescuers say air pocket kept her alive for nearly ten minutes until parents and bystanders freed her. She was treated at Westminster Hospital for emergency care.
