Calif voter turnout for tax initiative uncertain says secretary
Sacramento UPI reports Secretary of State Edmund G Brown Jr says he will not venture a turnout guess for Californias statewide vote on the Reagan era tax ceiling initiative. He calls the election the most uncertain in state history and notes it is the first statewide ballot held solely for an initiative with polls open 7 am to 7 pm. Brown expects first statewide results around 9 pm Tuesday.
