Free six week RN refresher course at Long Beach College

A free six week refresher training program for registered nurses will run at Long Beach City College liberal arts campus starting June 10. California State Employment Service lists eligibility for licensed Califor nian nurses or those in the licensure process with priority for those planning immediate work upon completion. Registration is through the Manpower Training Specialist at the Long Beach CSYS office, 350 Locust Ave.

VEW Women State Installation

A mass installation of officers for the 36 posts and 34 auxiliaries of the Fourth District Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held at p.m. at Long Beach Municipal Auditorium. Entertainment at the auditorium begins at 7 p.m., and a dance at the Lafayette Hotel International Ballroom will follow the ceremonies.
