Oyster gulping champ eats 10 oysters in 60 seconds
Charle Lane, a 30 year old former boxer from Mobile, claims a world oyster eating record by downing 10 raw oysters in a minute during a warmup for a time trial. He notes prior feats of 491 oysters in 2.5 hours and 480 in one hour, with bets and possible commercial interest surrounding the title. Lane maintains a strict one meal a day, enjoys sirloin and potatoes, and avoids sauce to prevent illness.
