Caulfield Fired From Treasury Over Clemency Offer

Washington report states John J Caulfield a Treasury enforcement official, who claims he carried an offer of executive clemency to Watergate burglar James McCord Jr, was fired Thursday. Secretary Shultz accepted the resignation noting it is effective at close of business Wednesday.
