Better Image: Urged for Southern Baptists
DETROIT I The South ern Baptist Convention today was urged to present its message better in radio and television programs in Hollywood movies. Dr Ray E Roberts executive secretary of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio urged 15 000 delegates to note the success of Rev Dr Billy Graham on television and to telecast an unadulterated evangelistic service on a national hookup. He said Southerners ought to do it and not rely on religious soap operas. He warned against starting with a Bible under the arm but preferred direct evangelism. A study committee proposed convention action to improve the image of Southern Baptists and other religious groups through motion pictures.
