County Moves to Quit League of Governments Delayed
Los Angeles County delayed action on leaving the Southern California Association of Governments after absent supervisors limited support. Supervisor Dorn pressed withdrawal over by law powers and funding concerns, while Chace urged waiting for bylaws changes. Officials warned withdrawal could jeopardize over 2 million dollars in federal park funding for Otterbein Regional Park and Vasquez Rocks projects if funds are blocked due to nonmembership.
