House backs San Luis expansion in California water bill
The House narrowly approves a 1.2 billion San Luis addition to the California Central Valley Reclamation Project and authorizes a 100 million dollar state project expansion. A 214-181 vote deletes a controversial section shielding portions from federal reclamation limits, despite support from Southern California water interests and Kern County farmers.
