Torrance road delay prompts 20 day extension request
County engineers seek a 20 day extension for Sully Miller Contracting in Torrance to finish a $142,652 road improvement project. Delays include Dominguez Water relocation problems, a labor dispute, bad weather, and a change order raising costs to about $178,000. The project covers curbs gutters walks and paving along Del Amo Boulevard Torrance Boulevard North Mandie and New Hampshire avenues. Completion originally set for July 20, 1971.
