Yokosuka election tally puzzle and odd police tale
In Yokosuka Japan Yusuke Kobayashi lost by a fractional vote while challenger Chohachi Nakajima led with a massive tally after write in ballots were prorated among five Nakajimas. Kobayashi challenged the process but not the division of Nakajima ballots. Nearby New York and Detroit items mix light mischief and oddities from a police guard miscue to hat thefts and a glass eye joke. Two talking mynah birds in London remembered a phone number and pressed it to return home.
