Philly Sixers face empty seats despite superstar draw
Philadelphia's 76ers, despite a high payroll and stars like Julius Erving and George McGinnis, drew 3,421 empty seats during a 106-97 playoff win over Houston. GM Pat Williams cited factors from Mother's Day to weather and TV, noting mixed attendance across playoffs and regular season while Flyers fans boast strong sellouts. Williams warned finals could bring full houses, and compared basketball's payroll to other sports while acknowledging ongoing regional interest gaps.
