Norman S Johnson county parks director envisions a self liquidating program to build over 19000 acres of regional recreational facilities by 1968. Investment may reach about 100 million dollars with 23 million for golf courses. Twelve new district parks, each about 100 acres, would spread across the county serving 100000 to 300000 residents.
Eight new members will join the Long Seach' Asat. board of directors at the annual meeting next Thursday evening in the Lafayette Hotel. Seven retiring directors receive awards for long years of service. Special honors go to Julian Knulson, Daniel Farnham, and Mrs. J. Roscoe Howell. Reservations for the dime meeting at 6:31 pm can be made via the association office at 92 Pacific Ave.
In Sacramento the Assembly approved more bills to require open meetings and records for state agencies with certain exceptions. The package, part of 70 bills by Ralph M. Brown, covers boards and examiners for architecture, barbering, cosmetology, dentistry, dry cleaning, medical and osteopathic fields, social work, veterinary medicine, vocational nursing, and contractors.
