Forest Service extends three youth camp permits 26 years
The Forest Service announced a compromise letting three Southern California youth groups continue using camps in the San Bernardino National Forest for 26 more years. The Barton Flats camps serve about 3,000 children annually and have operated since the mid-1930s by Camp Fire Girls groups and the University Council tied to UCLA.
