Central State Transport Agency Seen To Coordinate System
Supervisors were urged to back legislation creating a single state Department of Transportation to plan build and operate all surface transit including railroads mass transit buses and highways. Counties would run feeder systems under a statewide corridor approach to remove agency proliferation and fund competition. The proposal aims to balance multimodal transport and improve coordination across modes.
