Calley faces next appeal a year after My Lai verdict
One year after his conviction for My Lai killings, Lt. William L. Calley Jr. awaits oral arguments before the U S Army Court of Military Review in Washington. His civilian lawyer says a rever sal is possible within five or six weeks, with further appeals if needed. Calley remains confined to his Ft. Benning apartment under tight guard rules, living with his girlfriend Anne Moore as he cooks, gardens, and exercises in his small yard under daily surveillance.
