Leisure as a life style design challenge at Long Beach
California State College Long Beach students in a senior industrial design class pursued a four month project on making leisure a lifestyle. Their four mock ups and a professional catalogue went to Armco Steel Corp for its fifth annual student design program in Washington. Other schools participated and a San Diego program preceded a summer submission to the Smithsonian Institution.

Color and design lecture highlights home mood
Walter Sawicki spoke to 351 women at Bullock's Lakewood about color shaping interior atmosphere. The next lecture, Design in the Home, is set for Thursday at 9 30 am.
