Goodyear deflates final blimp as new dirigible arrives
Goodyear ends 90 year blimp era at Carson air station by deflating Spirit of Innovation. The semi rigid Wingfoot Two will replace it later this year, offering higher speed and quieter engines while maintaining the blimp look. The gondola and other parts go to museums, envelope recycled.

Vision to Learn provides glasses to Long Beach students
Vision to Learn, a Los Angeles nonprofit founded in 2012, has provided eyeglasses to about 1,600 Long Beach Unified pupils and aims to serve 4,000 more kindergarten through 12th grade students.
