Australian counterfeiter on trial for $1.6 million notes
Australian detective testified that Robert Baudin admitted creating more than 1.6 million dollars in counterfeit twenty dollar bills. Baudin, a Balmain resident and American aerial photographer, faced counterfeiting charges as the trial began before the Central Court. He claimed a decade of legitimate aerial work and said he knew the currency was fake when he made it.
