Proposal to withhold child support from wages faces debate
Amy White Fis argues for automatic wage deductions to enforce child support, noting many fathers fail to pay. Mrs. Fixler backs the plan, detailing how such a system could reduce welfare reliance and taxes, with tax credits for employers. She and supporters stress the burden on mothers and children if fathers evade duties, and advocate presentation to officials and potential passage.
