Strawberry Festival Ends Calmly After Brief Unrest
Garden Grove's annual Strawberry Festival closed as rioting broke out among about 10 000 Saturday night. Seven arrests and one minor injury were reported. Police, aided by 50 Garden Grove officers and 30 from nearby cities, quelled the riot in minutes.

Bail Posted After Hell's Angels Rival Gang Clash
Dozens of Hell's Angels and rival outlaw bikers were jailed after a late Saturday confrontation at a campground in the Cleveland National Forest area near San Juan Capistrano. Bail was set at 190 dollars for 24 arrestees, including a Lawndale man and a Hermosa Beach teenage girl, on rout charges. A Burbank girl faced drug possession counts. Police recovered at least eight guns, drugs, and several motorcycles. The incident began with reports of abuse toward private citizens and escalated to a violent clash between about 18 Hessians from San Diego and the Angels. The sheriff's office cautioned that the report had not been confirmed. Police and deputies secured the area, then began processing arrestees around 4 a.m.
