Bus Strike Averted in Kansas City
In Kansas City Missouri transit officials and the bus drivers union reached a tentative agreement at midnight Wednesday ending a 21 month dispute. Union President Loren HarRus said members would be urged to accept the 11th hour settlement as Transit President Donald Eyer recommended board approval. Terms were not disclosed. A 24 hour deadline extension followed a brief 15 minute strike as Federal Mediator Harry O Connell and Mayor Jus W Rav is secured the reprieve.
