Bus Crash Kills Child and Injures Sixteen in California
In Valinda a church school bus wreck killed one child and injured sixteen others including the driver. Passenger Jackie, mildly hurt, found out near the front door a red heart cut from construction paper. The bus swerved from a soft shoulder at about 30 mph and hit two utility poles. Principal Dewaal noted the bus had new tires and brakes a week earlier.
