Navy cites F14 test program as deteriorating quickly
Senator William Proxmire released an internal memorandum dated November from C A Tuomela deputy program manager for F14 test and evaluation. It states Grumman and Hughes testing at Point Mugu California has alarmingly deteriorated to an unacceptable pace with planes not flying and more excuses than results. The Navy has lost patience and Proxmire asks for House and Senate Armed Services Committee investigations.
