Broad Cuts In California Budget Spark Debate

He said most state departments gain little from allocations and the 5.4 billion budget for the coming year will be sent to the Legislature early next month. He dodged a question on a 156 dollar student fee increase and defended closed meetings on personnel and lawsuits while praising California and defending his appointees for the junior college board.
