Frances Frank 58, ex-wife of Clifton E. Frank, advertising executive and Yale All-American, was found frozen to death inside her Winnetka Illinois home. A coroner cited no violence. footprints suggested she circled the house seeking entry overnight. Discovered by her daughter Cindy.

Ferrara, 44, was seized at Los Angeles International Airport before boarding a Miami bound jet after police traced his steps from the Security Pacific Bank branch at 4518 E Los Coyotes to a car with empty money bags and an airline reservation note. Ferrara faces a federal complaint in Los Angeles. In Spain, two hundred eighty wild horses froze to death in the Gistral Mountain range as temperatures dropped to 12 degrees.
