Stanford panel votes to fire radical prof over campus violence
A Stanford advisory committee recommended firing J Bruce Franklin for inciting occupation of the computer center, defying police orders, and urging violence. The panel, by 5-2, cited conduct during a six week hearing and urged immediate dismissal, while noting potential appeal and prior proposals to drop him from the faculty.
