Seven Million Projects Set for Marina Development
Los Angeles reports over seven million dollars in new marina developments scheduled this year by lessees at Marina del Rey. Supervisor Burton W. says 1966 could be the best year yet, with slips for 1,000 to 1,500 more boats and more than 600 apartment units planned, plus a major shopping center motel units and service facilities on the boards. Long-range plans foresee county ownership of improvements after leases expire, with eventual marina capacity for 6,000 boats and 4,500 apartments plus hotels restaurants yacht clubs and spas.
