California official issues consumer protection booklet

It covers car purchases repairs contracts warranties credit cards and door to door sales with four rules including don't share finances with strangers and call police for suspicious approaches. Patrick Sues Younger State Official Over Rights Violations
William Penn Patrick of Holiday Magic, Inc. files a $10 million civil rights suit in U S District Court in San Francisco against California Attorney General Evele Younger and State Corporation Commissioner Brian Van Camp. Suspect booked for investigation of four rapes
A 36 year old Los Altos husband and furniture store sales manager was booked for investigation of four rapes in Mountain View. Police said Joe Fill had him taken to Vacaville medical facility for psychiatric tests after victims identified him from photos. Jessup’s arrest followed cooperation among six jurisdictions reviewing more than 160 Peninsula robberies with a similar pattern.
