Credit card price limits charged as restraint of trade
Consumers Union filed suit in U S district court against American Express and BankAmericard accusing the firms of price discrimination by restricting merchants from offering lower cash prices. The suit contends credit card use raises costs for cash customers and calls for antitrust action to require pass along of savings to cash buyers.
