Judge Rejects Two New Petitions From Kirschke
Convicted double murderer Jack Kirschke lost another bid in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday. Judge Kathleen Parker denied two petitions he asserted could lead to a new trial and refused to compel disclosure of information about possible new witnesses. The hearing drew a near capacity crowd as Kirschke argued police and prosecutors withheld evidence. He contends his 14th Amendment rights are violated by suppression of information useful for a motion for a new trial set for May 7.
