Doctor Holds Off Police in Gun Battle

Dr Suffern talked into surrendering by an associate Dr Jean Bower. He was taken to St Luke s Hospital Pasadena for emergency treatment. Deputies said Suffern was not wounded but the exact nature of treatment was unknown. None of the officers was injured.
