Find Body of Hiker on Slope
Searchers found the body of John W. King 27 at the bottom of a snow covered slope in the San Francisco peaks north of Flagstaff Arizona. A forest service snow vehicle brought the body to a road after a fall of several hundred feet. King had been hiking from the Arizona Snow Bowl ridge toward the inner basin when he vanished Monday night. About 100 men including mountain climbers participated in the search and his parents Wendell and Mrs King of Chandler went to the area before the body was found. King had been transferred to Flagstaff from Boulder two weeks earlier by Frontier Airlines. He was a native of Milton Town and had lived four years in Denver.
