Long Beach readers warned cash may be missing from mailboxes
The Long Beach Post Office reports loose money found in collection boxes may be returned only if owners identify details like serial numbers. Generous customers and postal workers recovered bills, coins, and odd items including a Canadian $10 bill and a cashier's check. The service notes a 25 cent last round fee to track wallets and charger plates, while urging caution with mail theft and losses.
